Places to See

Wicklow Visitor Attractions

This self catering Wicklow cottage provides many pretty villages (including 'Ballykissangel' of TV fame) complete with welcoming pubs and restaurants. The beautiful valley of Glendalough is 20 minutes away from our Wicklow holiday home and the lovely blue flag beach at Brittas Bay is half an hour down the valley.

For kids both Clara Lara funpark and Greeenan Farm and Maze are only 20 minutes drive and the National Sea Life Aquatic Centre in Bray is well worth a visit. The historic Avondale and Russborough houses are also easily reached and for garden lovers the beautiful grounds of Mount Usher in Ashford (40 minutes) are really beautiful. As one of Irelands most unspoiled areas, the county has an abundance of wildlife with deer and birds of prey such as the Red Kite regularly spotted by our guests.

Our cottage is situated in a peaceful wooded glen at the foot of Luqnaquilla, Wicklow's highest mountain, which rises to over 3,000 feet. In the local area there is golf, hill walking, mountain climbing, fishing, sailing, blue flag beaches and driving in Wicklow is a pleasure. Avoca (Ballykissangel) and lots of friendly pubs and restaurants are nearby. The cosmopolitan and vibrant city of Dublin is an easy day trip from this Wicklow holiday accommodation for visits to breweries, museums and great shopping.
