Brittas Bay
Brittas Bay (Irish - Cuan an Bhriotáis) in County Wicklow is one of Ireland's prettiest beaches and is a favourite destination for those renting our Wicklow cottage. One of many Irish blue flag beaches, the beach is reached via Aughrim and is just over 30 minutes from Aughavannagh Cottage.
The clean white sands stretch for 5km along the coast north of Arklow with the Wicklow Mountains as a back-drop. Behind the beach are extensive sand dunes and the whole area is great for a picnic or a swim. The beach is generally regarded as safe, with life guards on duty during the summer. For those staying in our Wicklow vacation rental, Brittas Bay is also a good spot to go bird watching and walking along this beautiful beach- regardless of the season - has long been popular with those who have chosen Wicklow for their holidays.
